Thomas the Tank Engine to visit New Haven
in June, event will offer train rides, activities
Thomas the Tank Engine will pull into Kentucky Railway Museum as part of the “Day Out With Thomas: Mystery On The Rails Tour 2012″ this summer.
The tour will be in New Haven at 136 S. Main St. on June 2-3 and June 9-10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Haven is in Nelson County in Central Kentucky.
This event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular “Thomas & Friends” series and participate in Thomas-themed activities, such as a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station, featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, train tables and coloring sheets.
Other event highlights will include commemorative activities, merchandise and giveaways – including a special reveal poster previewing new engines and a new destination from the upcoming 2012 Thomas & Friends feature, “Blue Mountain Mystery.”
The tour, now in its 17th year, will make stops in more than 45 US cities and is expected to welcome more than one million passengers in 2012.
