State, local officials urge caution as temps expected to approach dangerous levels
Local emergency services officials and Kentucky Emergency Management officials continue to urge caution as the National Weather Service Offices covering Kentucky forecast temperatures approaching 100 degrees or more in some areas of the state.
“Kentuckians should avoid prolonged outdoor exposure, stay hydrated, check on the elderly and very young and don’t forget to provide plenty of shade and fresh water for your outdoor pets and animals,” said KYEM director John Heltzel.
