Trader Joe’s grand opening draws enthusiastic crowd Friday morning

Hundreds of shoppers turned out early Friday morning to join in the fun at the grand opening celebration of the Trader Joe’s store on Nicholasville Road. The first customer in line, Crystal Cavallaro, arrived at 3 a.m. to claim her spot for the 8 a.m. grand opening. Mayor Jim Gray was on hand to help store captain Richard Flanagan cut the lei, signifying the official store opening.
The store is now open everyday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the exception of Sunday, when the wine store is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
