Olympics roundup: Donahue misses
medal, Davis makes basketball debut
Four former Kentucky college athletes participated in day two of Olympics action in London. You can see a rundown of their performances below:

Former WKU swimmer Claire Donahue finished seven in the women’s 100-meter butterfly final in 57.48 seconds. She was .61 seconds from a medal finish.
Former UK basketball player Anthony Davis made his Olympics debut with 8:03 of action in the U. S. men’s basketball team’s 98-71 win versus France in preliminary round action. Davis scored three points, grabbed three rebounds and blocked one shot.
UofL swimmer Eszter Povazsay finished sixth in her heat in the women’s 100-meter backstroke at 1:03.55 and did not qualify for the semifinal.
UofL swimmer Joao De Lucca was not one of the four swimmers to participate in the men’s 4×100-meter relay for Brazil. The Brazilians finished fourth in their heat and did not qualify for the final.
