West Sixth Running Club braves rain, wind
to celebrate Halloween with costume run

The West Sixth Running Club’s regularly scheduled meeting on Halloween Eve got a little spookier and a lot sillier this week after organizers made the event a costume run in honor of the holiday. Though cold temperatures, chilly winds and ice-cold rain kept away most of the group’s usual attendees, the 20 or so members who ran last night made up for their associates’ absence with more than enough spirit. Runners talked and snapped photos together before their 6:30 p.m. start time. Afterward, many warmed up with free pretzels provided by the West 6th brewery and shared a beer or two.
