It’s been 52 years since K-Lair Grill opened its doors on the University of Kentucky campus. Now the iconic eatery is closing its doors.
K-Lair – with it’s famous honey buns, burgers and chicken sandwiches – end the tradition today to make room for new dorms. The K-Lair’s demolition is part of a major housing transformation approved by the UK Board of Trustees during a retreat earlier this past October. (See KyForward story here.)
To show their appreciate, students, faculty and staff are leaving farewell messages on the walls.
