Hosparus Health celebrates community hospice advocates with 12th annual Candle Glow Gala

On Saturday, Nov. 4, Hosparus Health will once again celebrate community members who have had a lasting effect on hospice and advanced illness care.

The nonprofit organization’s 12th annual Candle Glow Gala will be held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 W. Jefferson St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the gala benefit hospice patients and families, regardless of their ability to pay.

From dress to décor to desserts, this signature fundraiser will be a “Black & White Affair.” The Candle Glow Gala series began in 2006 with just 200 guests. It has grown to attract more than 600 patrons and last year raised $202,000.

The elegant event will feature a premium open bar, a delicious dinner, an awards presentation, as well as silent and live auctions. After dinner, guests will enjoy live music from The Impalas and dance the night away at the Glow Lounge beginning at 8:30 p.m.

The gala’s presenting sponsor is BB&T. Gold sponsors are Republic Bank & Trust Co. and Kosair Charities. Silver sponsors are Burke Financial Services, Dahlem Realty, LG&E, Harshaw Trane, Delta Dental of Kentucky and Trilogy Health Services.

Individual ticket for dinner and awards, $250; Glow Lounge-only tickets are $60. For more information, call (502) 719-8926. Purchase tickets at www.hosparusgala.org.
