Louisville’s Rabbit Hole Distillery becomes newest member of Kentucky Distillers’ Association

The Kentucky Distillers’ Association today announced that Rabbit Hole Distillery in downtown Louisville is the newest and 36th member of the non-profit trade group that unites and leads Kentucky’s signature Bourbon and distilled spirits industry.

Founded in 2014 by CEO Kaveh Zamanian, the innovative Rabbit Hole campus spans an entire block between Jefferson and Market streets in the NULU district and will include an on-site restaurant, bar and public event space when it officially opens in spring.

“As its name implies, Rabbit Hole is building a truly modern, vibrant take on our timeless craft with a variety of experiences that Bourbon lovers are sure to enjoy,” KDA President Eric Gregory said.

“We applaud their creativity, commend their investment, appreciate their commitment to upholding the integrity of our legendary industry and proudly welcome them to our ever-growing family of Kentucky’s finest distillers.”

Rabbit Hole’s product line includes a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Kentucky Straight Rye, a finished Bourbon in PX Sherry casks and a recently released London Dry Gin that is finished in their Rye whiskey barrels.

“It’s a thrill to be a part of Kentucky’s signature industry,” Zamanian said. “On behalf of everyone at Rabbit Hole, thank you to the KDA for welcoming us to the major league of Bourbon.”

Rabbit Hole is the KDA’s 26th Craft-level member, aging less than 10,000 barrels a year.

Once open, the company will be the 11th distillery in Louisville, with five part of the KDA’s Kentucky Bourbon Trail experiences. Two more distilleries and visitor centers are slated to open in 2018. Rabbit Hole is now eligible to join the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour.
