The Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS) has created the Kentucky Commuting Patterns Report, the first report of its kind aimed at tracking commuting patterns for all citizens living and or working in Kentucky.

“The Kentucky Commuting Patterns Report answers core questions about where Kentuckians live and work,” said KCEWS Executive Director, Dr. Kate Akers. “Policymakers now have a tool to assist in answering questions about Kentucky’s commuting patterns within and surrounding the Commonwealth.”

Users can filter information within the Kentucky Commuting Patterns Report by number of people, distance of commute and geographic area. The tool also filters commuting patterns by the county or state commuters live to the county or state the commuters work.

The data used in the Kentucky Commuting Patterns Report came from the United States Census Longitudinal Household-Employer Dynamics Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES).
