“Shrek the Musical,” based on the Oscar winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to life on stage. Featuring 19 all new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, this musical is sure to bring fun for everyone. ”Shrek the Musical” will open on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. Additional performances will take place on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets click here.

Buffalo Wild Wings (S. Broadway & Old Todds Rd.)
Dine in or carry out at the South Broadway or Todds Road locations and Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10 percent of all pre-tax food sales to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team Training Program. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The goal of Team in Training is to increase funding to support the Society’s mission while promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles. John G. Irvin Gallery at Central Bank is pleased to announce the art show entitled “Hope-Inspired Art.” The original works are by clients who are rebuilding their lives through Hope Center programs. A reception honoring the artists will be held on the 5th floor executive area of the bank and the collection can be viewed at on floors 2 and 3. LexArts announces the 25th Anniversary of the LexArts Hop Season presented by Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC. This gallery hop showcases the finest visual artists in Lexington across 46 sites. Admission is free and most sites offer refreshments for guests. LexTran generously provides Colt Trolley services free to hop patrons. Because there is so much to see and experience, LexArts created a Hop brochure and website to help participants create their own individualized Gallery Hop experience.
