7th Annual Fat Tuesday party
Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 21, Bourbon n’ Toulouse will be hosting the 7th Annual Fat Tuesday Party.
The eatery, located at 829 Euclid Ave. in Lexington, will have king cakes and beer specials all day. Ale 8 will also be giving away free drinks and promotional items.

UK Opera Theatre presents: Falstaff
Running from Feb. 24-26, the UK Opera Theatre will be presenting Verdi’s fast paced, romantic comedy set in Windsor in 1602 for four performances.
The portly Falstaff sees himself as the “Don Juan” of Windsor and he is running low on drinking money; he seeks to win, from two wealthy married ladies, affection and funding by sending them identical love letters. 24th Annual Central Kentucky Heart and Stroke Ball
Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25, the 2012 Central Kentucky Heart and Stroke Ball will take place at Lexington Center’s Bluegrass Ballroom.
The ball helps raise funds to help further the fight against the heart disease strokes. The funds will go toward research, advocacy, and education efforts in Central Kentucky. There will be dinner, dancing, a silent and live auction, and entertainment will be provided by The Souled Out Band.

Lexington Children’s Theatre presents: “There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom”
On Feb. 26 at 2 p.m., the Lexington Children’s Theatre will be presenting “There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom.” The play features the story of young Bradley Chalkers. Chalkers’ classmates would say he’s a monster. His teachers would say he’s a student with serious behavior problems. But Carla, the new guidance counselor at Red Hill School, would tell you the truth. Chalkers is a fifth grader with no self-esteem, no one to talk to and his bullying is merely a cry for help. Using unconventional methods, Carla attempts to crack open Chalkers’ monster and in the process discovers a heart of gold.
