Greenbo Lake State Park park is hosting “Marriage, Mob and Murder: An Interactive Murder Mystery Party,” May 11-12. Two competing “mob families” find that their children are getting married. When a member of the wedding party is found “murdered” in his car on the way to the church, the two families head to the wedding reception to figure out what happened.
Greenbo Lake is in Greenup County in north eastern Kentucky.
A buffet dinner will be served and prizes awarded to those who help find out who did it. The show starts at 7 p.m. on both nights and is presented by Murder and Merriment Acting Troupe. The program is presented by the park in partnership with the Greenup County Arts Council.
All-inclusive packages for $150 per couple or $108 single include: one night’s lodging, dinner and show and continental breakfast the next morning. The dinner and show only is $42 per person. Reservations are required. Call 1-800-325-0083 for information and reservations.
Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on KY 1, 18 miles north of Interstate 64 from the Grayson exit, or 8 miles south of U.S. 23, the Country Music Highway on KY 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, convention center and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant. The park has a 225-acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, and 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The campground is open April 1 through Oct. 31. Greenbo’s amphitheater features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
