Lexington to host amateur boxing event

Some of the best amateur boxers from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio will be competing in Lexington this weekend.

On Saturday, the Lexington Police Activities League will host the 2012 Kentucky Junior Olympic Amateur Boxing Championships. The event will take place at Four Seasons Martial Arts at 951 Floyd Drive.

Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Those wishing to buy tickets before the event can contact officer Jerry Loughran at 859-333-7025.
