A special Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey “Ambassador of Laughter” is scheduled to pay an advance visit to the Bluegrass region this week to
incite some laughter and learning among local children’s groups and activities.
The show, Fully Charged, will follow Sept. 6-9 at Rupp Arena. Kelly the Clown will perform a variety of free shows, clinics and reading events throughout the area this week:

From 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Lexington Children’s Theater (418 W. Short St.), Kelly will engage actors in a “Circus Arts” program.
The Lexington Public Library Beaumont Branch (3080 Fieldstone Way) will host a a circus-inspired reading event complete with a clown show at 3 p.m.
From 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Joseph Beth Booksellers (161 Lexington Green Circle) will hold an additional circus-inspired reading event with a clown show.

From 10-11 a.m. the Lexington Public Library Central Branch (140 East Main Street) will host another circus-inspired reading event with a clown show.
From 2:30-3:30 p.m. Kelly the Clown will show children how to move “circus style” at Gymboree Play & Music (4383 Old Harrodsburg Road).
