Memorial Day holiday trash collection changes, government office closings

The Division of Waste Management will adjust its collection schedules for the Memorial Day holiday. Residents, whose regular collection day is on Monday, May 28, will receive collection service on Wednesday, May 30.
 

Residents who receive Monday pick-up should place their Herbies, Rosies and Lennies out on Tuesday, May 29, to assure collection the next day.
 

Businesses that have city waste management services on their dumpsters and normally have pickups on Mondays will have their units picked up on Tuesday, May 29. Businesses that normally have Tuesday pick ups will have their units picked up on Wednesday, May 30.
 

Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government offices will be closed on Monday, May 28. The city’s recycling facility, electronic recycling center, and the Haley Pike waste management facility will also be closed.
