women small business owners in Lexington

The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky will hold its second Women’s Roundtable meeting in Lexington on Thursday, June 28.  The event is sponsored by the Lexington–Fayette Urban County Government.

The goal of the roundtable is to create a quarterly forum for women small businesses to discuss topics concerning procurement, financial resources, marketing, success stories and networking opportunities. The event is opened to all women and is free.

The topic is “Let’s Talk!”  “Come and share your successes, hurdles, and issues with other women small business owners in the Lexington area,” said Sharron Johnson, WBC director.

The Women’s Roundtable will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the third-floor conference room of the Phoenix Building at 100 E. Vine St. Parking is available in the Transit Center or the Government Annex Parking Garage.

Representatives from the Urban County Government will attend, as well as representatives from other organizations that provide services to small businesses.  Participants will learn about services available to women, potential procurement opportunities, networking events, and doing business with the Urban County Government.
