This Valentine’s Day, nothing is more romantic than knowing your status.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department is offering free HIV testing on Tueday, Feb. 14. Special giveaways will be offered to everyone who gets tested Tuesday. The tests are free, anonymous and confidential.
“Flowers and candy are nice gifts, but what better way to celebrate your love than by taking a few minutes to make sure you aren’t putting your partner at risk,” said Jessica Noto, LFCHD’s communicable disease team leader. “The HIV test is a quick and free way to say ‘I love you’ this year.”
The same-day testing will be held 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at 805B Newtown Circle. The program also offers risk reduction counseling, community outreach, group or individual intervention and presentation services and free condoms. For information on the program, call 288-2437.
The health department is also part of the Bluegrass HIV Coalition, which has more information at www.facebook.com/BluegrassHIV. Find the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.
