Lexington Clinic Foundation seeks applicants
for scholarships in the allied health sciences

Lexington Clinic Foundation offers Fergus Hanson Memorial Scholarships for studnts pursuing allied health sciences – nursing, occupation and physical therapy.  Deadline for application is March 9 postmark.

 

The scholarships are awarded to both full-time and part-time students who live within Central or Eastern Kentucky and are Kentucky residents.

 

Other eligibility requirements:  Earn a high school diploma or equivalent.; show evidence of financial need; show promise of academic achievement; select a career in a health-related field other than dentistry, veterinary or medical doctor; studying at an accredited program; plan to work in Central or Eastern Kentucky upon graduation; provide evidence of good character and willingness to help others.

 

Established in 1959, Lexington Clinic Foundation (LCF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides funding for scholarships, medical research and community projects. LCF is a leader in providing assistance to students pursuing allied health sciences.

 

The scholarships are named in honor of Fergus Hanson,  Lexington Clinic’s administrator from 1956 to 1978 who was instrumental in its development. His untiring commitment and devotion made him a role model for those pursuing healthcare careers of all kinds.

 

Students pursuing dentistry, veterinary or medical doctor careers are not eligible for these scholarships.

 

Applicants may be currently enrolled or just beginning their studies. Previous applicants and recipients are encouraged to re-apply, provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements.
