Using original photography, students at Lexington Traditional Magnet School depicted how marijuana use can affect the life of an individual, a family or the entire community. About two dozen pieces from “The Way I See It: Voices and Vision from the Hearts of Youth” will be on display during July at the Lexington Public Library on Main Street.
The Fayette County Mayor’s Alliance on Substance Abuse partnered with the Journalism Club and the Student Council at LTMS on the PhotoVoice Student Learning Project. “The Way I See It” culminated in late May with a reception and exhibit at the school, where Mayor Jim Gray and other guests viewed photo galleries, student collages and a group slide show set to music.
