Nerlens Noel, centerpiece of recruiting class,
arrives in Lexington before start of classes

The UK men’s basketball team’s star freshman has arrived on campus.

Center Nerlens Noel, ranked as the No. 1 high school player in the country in the class of 2012 by ESPN.com, arrived in Lexington this weekend. Noel was not on campus for summer classes like the rest of his freshmen teammates as he worked to finish his academic requirements after reclassifying from the class of 2013 to the class of 2012.

Noel’s arrival was confirmed by UK head coach John Calipari‘s official website, CoachCal.com.

Noel tweeted “Feels good to be in Lexington” upon his arrival.
