Event will celebrate The Nest, HandPicked partnership to further community mission

The official kick-off event for the newly announced partnership between The Nest Center for Women, Children and Families and HandPicked, a jewelry and gifts company, is Thursday, July 12. The HandPicked staff and customers, as well as representatives from The Nest, will celebrate the initiative at the HandPicked location at 824 Euclid Ave. from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

HandPicked is a Columbia, S.C.-based jewelry and gifts company with 15 stores throughout the Southeast. Now working with The Nest, a Lexington nonprofit organization working to promote healing, stability and well-being of children and families, HandPicked will design a special HeartPicked bracelet for The Nest. The bracelet is designed to epitomize The Nest’s mission to help families. A portion of each HeartPicked bracelet sale will directly benefit The Nest.

“HeartPicked is a very important milestone for HandPicked, in that it is the culmination of our mission to express the spirit of our customers and staff,” said Melanie Mauldin, founder and CEO of HandPicked. “We are honored to partner with The Nest Center for Women, Children and Families as they are working to make a life different for those in need in the Lexington area.”

The goal of the HeartPicked initiative by HandPicked is to increase community awareness and raise funds for nonprofit organizations whose mission is to improve the lives of those in need in every community where a HandPicked location can be found.
