To help engage and educate the community through art, PODS Lexington will join forces with the Lexington Art League (LAL) to gear up for the 2017 Woodland Art Fair on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

PODS Lexington will donate one of their spacious storage containers to hold the events equipment and deliver them on the day of the event. In addition to the donation of its containers, PODS Lexington will donate $1 to the Lexington Art League for every new ‘like’ they receive on their Facebook page.

“We are very appreciative of the gracious generosity that our local PODS has in donating the use of their moving and storage container,” said Mark Mozingo, Events and Membership Director of the Lexington Art League. “The PODS container have been a critical piece in helping our staff and volunteers move our supplies to and from the event.”

The Woodland Art Fair is sponsored by WesBanco and co-presented with Lexington Parks and Recreatio. It will feature 200 artists, live music, Kentucky food, beer gardens and families will have the opportunity to create their own family art-wall with free admission.

“PODS is very supportive of the local arts scene here in Kentucky,” said Ken Kocon, General Manager of PODS of Lexington. “We’re honored to donate our services to an event that allows artists to hone their craft and create incredible works of art.”

The Lexington Art League is Lexington’s oldest and largest visual arts organization. LAL envisions visual art as the lens through which central Kentucky will distinguish itself as a progressive, inclusive and vibrant region. LAL presents original and creative programs, with a reputation for thought-provoking content that illuminates the role of visual art in contemporary life.
