35th annual Kentucky Archives Institute set for July 19; deadline for registration is July 12

The 35th annual Kentucky Archives Institute is scheduled for July 19 at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) on 300 Coffee Tree Road in Frankfort.

The deadline for registration is July 12.

The Kentucky Archives Institute, sponsored by the Friends of Kentucky Public Archives Inc. and KDLA, provides information for scholars, archivists, librarians, general researchers and genealogists interested in archival research.

Featured speakers include Jim Prichard, Filson Historical Society; Bridget Striker, Boone County Public Library; Rosemary Meszaros and Katherine Pennavaria, Western Kentucky University; and Mary Girard, Boyle County Public Library.

A registration fee of $50 includes attendance at the Institute from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., lunch and all materials. Seating is limited to 50. Registrations should be sent to: Friends of Kentucky Public Archives, Inc., Kentucky Archives Institute, P.O. Box 4224, Frankfort, KY 40604.
