More than 50 venues participating in upcoming LexArts HOP on September 15

Lexington’s signature LexArts HOP continues on Friday, Sept. 15.

Held on the third Friday of every other month, the LexArts HOP, sponsored by Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC, features nearly 50 participating venues, including local galleries, museums, artist studios, and supporting locations.

The HOP’s official hours are between 5-8 p.m.; however, many of the sites, including local restaurants and shops, remain open throughout the evening. A full list of participating locations can be found at galleryhoplex.com.

LexArts also announced the HOP mobile app, which includes an interactive map, GPS locating, and exhibit updates. The web-based app can be accessed through the HOP website at galleryhoplex.com. Additionally, the official HOP guide can be picked up at ArtsPlace, 161 North Mill Street.

The LexArts HOP is a highly engaging opportunity to experience Lexington’s unique and vibrant culture, support individual local artists and businesses, and enjoy the thriving downtown arts scene.

LexArts’ HOP is an annual public art series designed to highlight the dynamic visual arts culture in Lexington. The HOP occurs six times per year and features hundreds of local artists displaying in over 50 venues throughout Lexington’s downtown and its immediate environs.

LexArts is a nonprofit community organization that works for the development of a strong and vibrant arts community as a means of enhancing the quality of life in central Kentucky. Through its annual Fund for the Arts, LexArts raises millions of dollars in support of local arts.

In turn, LexArts underwrites the operating expenses for a variety of Partner Organizations, awards grants through its Community Arts Development, Creative Venture Fund and Professional Development programs, and offers affordable exhibition and performance space for arts organizations.
