Adjusted parking options at Blue Grass Airport, rate changes, will go into effect this Monday

Passengers traveling from Blue Grass Airport will soon experience renamed parking areas and helpful parking signage throughout the lots.

Effective May 22, Blue Grass Airport will simplify parking options by combining its current Short-Term and Long-Term lots into one Short-Term area and designating the current Economy lot as Long-Term Parking.

In addition, later this summer, the airport will continue to improve its parking facilities by installing new electronic signage that indicate whether a lot is open or full and the number of spaces available on each level of the parking garage. To aid passengers in finding their vehicles, lots will include new row markers that are color-coded and include regionally inspired icons such as horses, bourbon barrels and basketballs.

Beginning Monday, the following parking options will be available:

Short-Term Parking ($14/day)

Located just steps from the terminal, this parking area includes two surface lots and all three levels of the parking garage, providing many covered spaces that are protected from inclement weather and summer heat.

Long-Term Parking ($10/day)

Formerly Economy Parking, this area is located immediately behind Short-Term Parking, provides great value and easy pedestrian access to the terminal.

Park & Shuttle ($7/day or $42/week)

For those seeking a cost-saving daily rate and a discounted weekly rate, the Park & Shuttle lot provides the convenience of parking your vehicle and taking the airport’s round-the-clock shuttle service to and from the terminal. Requires payment by credit card.

Valet Parking ($17/day)

For those seeking personal service, Valet Parking provides curbside drop-off and pick-up as well as optional vehicle detailing services (additional charges apply).

Passengers with handicap parking permits may park in either the Short-Term or Long-Term lots and will only be charged the Long-Term rate the entire length of their stay. The airport will continue to offer 30 minutes of complimentary parking and a cell phone waiting area for customers coming to the airport to pick-up arriving passengers.

Blue Grass Airport, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is served by four major airlines providing convenient non-stop and connecting service to hundreds of destinations worldwide. The airport serves more than 1.3 million passengers annually and supports our community with an economic output exceeding $370 million.
