Blood donors can further help those in need by giving value of donor gift to Salvation Army

Blood donors can extend their giving this holiday season by donating blood and then opting to give the value of their donor thank-you item to The Salvation Army.

Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) donors generously save lives throughout the year, and now through Dec. 31 they can also help the less fortunate in their communities.

“It’s easy to help this holiday season,” said Martha Osborne, the blood center’s Vice President of Marketing. “Donors can roll up their sleeves, save a life and then tell us to give the value of their thank-you gift to The Salvation Army.

“We enjoy providing this opportunity to blood donors, and it has been very popular with our donors over the past 10 years. Our donors have also directed more than $50,000 to The Salvation Army in their communities,” said Osborne.

Donors can give and give again at any KBC mobile blood drive or at one of the KBC donor centers listed below until the end of the year.
