Campbellsville University promotes Greensburg native Tim Judd to vice president for finance


Campbellsville University has announced that Tim Judd has been promoted to vice president for finance, chief financial officer.

“Tim has been a valued member of our financial staff serving in several roles until the recent vice president position,” Campbellsville University President Michael V. Carter said. “He has led the Office of Business Services with integrity and dedication. We are proud to make this new position for Tim.”

Judd is responsible for all aspects of finance for the university including budget, accounting, purchasing, student accounts, tax compliance, debt, investments, cash management and student financial aid. He is in his 18th year with the university.

Judd received his Master of Business Administration Degree from Campbellsville in 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from Campbellsville in 2002.

He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Kentucky.

His professional career has been with Campbellsville University serving as staff accountant, senior accountant, controller and associate vice president for finance prior to his current position. During his tenure, the university budget has increased to more than $138 million, more than four times what it was in 2006 when he assumed the role of controller. Total assets of the university now exceed $110 million.

Judd is a member of several professional organizations including the Association of Independent Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of College and University Business Officers, Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities Business Officers.

He is active in professional development for university business officers in all these organizations to stay current on nonprofit tax compliance, accounting, nonprofit finance, treasury management, and higher education budget/planning.

His wife of 16 years, Jamie, is a first-grade teacher at Taylor County Primary School in Taylor County. She is also a 2005 and 2003 alumnus of Campbellsville with a Master of Special Education degree and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a P-5 emphasis. They are the parents of two children, Landon and Laynie.

Judd is a native of Greensburg, Ky., and is an active member of Greensburg Baptist Church serving on the budget/finance committee, nominating committee and is former treasurer for the church preschool program. He is an ordained deacon for the church.
