Community Foundation of West Kentucky accepting grant applications from area nonprofits until Feb. 14

The Community Foundation of West Kentucky will be accepting grant applications from area nonprofits who serve their communities of Western Kentucky in the areas of community art, educational attainment, health awareness, children’s program, social services and community improvement.

The Community Foundation of West Kentucky will accept applications until 4 p.m. on Feb. 14. Each application will be reviewed for eligibility. The organization must be defined as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

It will be at the sole discretion of the Community Foundation of West Kentucky Grants Committee with the approval of the Board of Directors as to which applications are accepted and awarded a grant.

All grant amounts will be for at least $1,000. An application does not guarantee the awarding of a grant. This is a competitive grant process.

Attendance at the Philanthropy 360 event on March 5 is required. It is at this event the grant awards will be announced and distributed. Alternates are chosen for those organizations not represented.

The March 5 event will be held at the Market House Theatre, 132 Market House Square, Multi-Purpose Building from noon to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served with an RSVP. Any additional questions may be directed to Tony Watkins at 270-442-8622.

To apply go to the Philanthropy 360 website at cfwestky.com.
