Eastern Kentucky senior Marcus Lewis has advanced to the finals of the 2014 “State Farm Dark Horse Dunker” Facebook competition. The winner of the Facebook contest will compete at the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship held in Dallas during the 2014 NCAA Final Four.

Lewis defeated Jerran Young of Wright State in the semifinals. He will face Justin Simmons from the University of Nebraska Omaha this week in the finals.

The final round runs through Monday, March 17. Fans determine the winner by voting daily on Facebook (Click here to vote) throughout the five-week competition.

Lewis is a 6-foot-4 guard. The Streamwood, Ill., native has left Colonel fans in awe with his spectacular dunks during his two seasons in maroon and white. His alley-oop dunk last season at Southeast Missouri climbed to No. 3 on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top-10 Plays, was a finalist for GEICO Play of the Year and advanced to the finals of the Dunk of the Year Tournament.

The Colonels earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament after winning the Ohio Valley Conference championship March 8.
