Fifth Third Bank employees give the largest Workplace Giving donation in LexArts history

LexArts recognized the employees of Fifth Third Bank of Kentucky on Nov. 13 during the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ National Philanthropy Day Celebration.
Fifth Third Bank employees contributed a total of $21,860 during the 2013 LexArts Workplace Giving campaign. This marks the largest one-time Workplace Giving donation that LexArts has received in its 41-year history.
“Fifth Third Bank is committed to the betterment of Central Kentucky and supports LexArts’ vision to create a progressive and innovative community inspired by the arts,” said Mike Ash, Lexington Market president, Fifth Third Bank. “Fifth Third Bank and its team members generously donate to LexArts because of the educational, entertainment and economic value it provides the Bluegrass.”
“The employees of Fifth Third Bank are consistently among the top contributors to our annual Fund for the Arts campaign and this year was no different,” said James M. Clark, president and CEO of LexArts. “The commitment on behalf of Fifth Third and its employees is a true testament to the social values that Fifth Third embraces.”
The LexArts Workplace Giving Program is integral to the success of the annual Fund for the Arts campaign. In this program, LexArts partners with local businesses to provide the opportunity for employees to easily contribute to the campaign. In addition to supporting the campaign financially, employees have the chance to learn about their arts community and the many different opportunities it provides.
In addition to its employee gifting, Fifth Third Bank is consistently one of LexArts’ top corporate donors and was a Corporate Pacesetter in the 2013 campaign.
