Foundation for a healthy Ky., Green River ADD to host health forum in Owensboro Aug. 14

Organizations and individuals working to improve health are invited to attend a Regional Community Health Forum in Owensboro on August 14. Hosted by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky in partnership with the Green River Area Development District (GRADD) and Green River District Health Department. The 90-minute afternoon forum will include information on efforts to address teen vaping and the latest developments regarding the Kentucky HEALTH Medicaid waiver program. Representatives from the area’s seven local health coalitions will share updates on their activities and future areas of focus.

The forum is open to health organizations, health care providers, public health professionals, elected officials, business and education leaders and other community members interested in addressing health issues in their communities. The forum begins at 2 p.m. (CDT) at the Green River Area Development District offices, 300 GRADD Way in Owensboro. The forum is free and seating is limited, so advance registration is required at www.eventbrite.com.

“We’re looking to exchange ideas and share information on priority health concerns affecting Kentuckians and how our communities can reach their highest levels of health,” said Ben Chandler, president and CEO, Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky.
