Today is a good time to register, because it’s the 8th annual National Voter Registration Day – a massive, nationwide effort to register voters. A growing number of high-profile partners, nonprofits, and election administrators join forces with the goal of helping over 250,000 eligible voters update their registration or get registered for the first time – nearly twice the number registered during any previous ‘odd-year’ holiday.

Since 2012, more than 2.4 million voters have registered or updated their registration as a result of the National Voter Registration Day initiatives.

These registration initiatives are non-partisan — they just focus on getting citizens to register and encouraging the vote.

Remember the registration deadline to vote is Monday, October 7. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5.

Employee Voter Registration Week is powered by BIPAC, a nonpartisan, membership-driven organization dedicated to helping private sector employers and employees to be engaged in the political process.
