“I’m incredibly honored and humbled to receive this award. It’s a joy to serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Secretary Grimes in my role,” said Queen. “I realize the conditions we are in now and the environment journalists face. It’s been my passion to help the journalists we interact with understand our role in government.”

The Society of Professional Journalists, Bluegrass Chapter, gives the award in collaboration with the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators. Nominees for the award are selected by journalists.

“I am incredibly grateful for Bradford’s high level of professionalism and dedicated service that he provides to the Commonwealth,” said Grimes. “He goes out of his way to timely respond to requests received from across the nation and represents the best of Kentucky communicators. It’s especially exciting to see this award come from his peers, who recognize his immense talent, hard work and dedication to state government.”
