Hollywood in the Hanger event to feature Disney’s Planes to Aviation Museum of Kentucky April 28

If you know Dusty Crophopper or like to watch his adventure, then you’ll want to join your family to see the Disney feature film Planes at the Aviation Museum Kentucky on Sunday, April 28, beginning at 1:30 pm.

Hollywood in the Hanger is a new family event at the museum. Recognizing that the animated story of Planes is a favorite aviation movie for children, the museum will screen the film in its David Atwell Hangar for a new visitor experience.

Tickets are available through a link on the museum’s website at event.attendstar.com

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks are part of admission.

Planes was originally released to theaters in 2013. The movie tells the story of Dusty, a crop-dusting plane with a fear of heights, living his dream of entering an air race. Animated airport characters, from warbirds to forklifts and refueling trucks, fill the cast in Dusty’s racing adventure. Several Hollywood stars appear as the voices of the characters.

The Aviation Museum of Kentucky is located at 4029 Airport Road, adjacent to Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. Hours are 10a-5p Tuesday-Saturday, and 1p-5p on Sunday. It is the official aviation museum of the Commonwealth as well as home to the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame. The museum operates as a non-profit corporation.
