Kentucky Archives Institute scheduled for July 20 at Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives


The 34th annual Kentucky Archives Institute is scheduled for July 20 at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, 300 Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort. Presentations will focus on online resources and research opportunities.

Featured speakers include Nicka Smith, Ancestry.com; Greg Nelson, FamilySearch.org; Kari May and Cathy Crum, KDLA; and representatives of public universities in Kentucky.

A registration fee of $50 includes attendance at the Institute from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., lunch and all materials. Deadline for registration is July 16 and seating is limited to 50. The Institute, sponsored by the Friends of Kentucky Public Archives Inc. and the KDLA Archives and Records Management Division, provides information for scholars, archivists, librarians, general researchers and genealogists interested in archival research.
