Kentucky Artisan Center taking entries for ‘Reveal’ exhibit; accepting large two-dimensional formats

Kentucky artists who work in large two-dimensional formats are invited to submit entries for the exhibit “Reveal” at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea.

Reveal will display selected artist works in the Artisan Center lobby beginning Feb. 1 through April 30, 2021. Reveal exhibits are a regular part of the center’s exhibition schedule through an annual statewide call-to-artists. The exhibit provides an exhibition opportunity for 2-D artists whose large works cannot be accommodated within the center’s regular retail spaces.

Works must be for sale, at least 4 feet in one dimension, must not exceed 8 feet in any dimension, and weigh less than 50 pounds. Information about the exhibit and an entry form are available on the Artisan Center website. Artists may also request an entry form by mail from the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea or by calling (859) 985-5448. The deadline for entry is Jan. 9.

Each year the Kentucky Artisan Center develops and presents special exhibits to highlight work by Kentucky artisans. These exhibits may focus on a specific medium, theme, technique, or subject and often include artists and works not regularly on display at the center.

The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is an agency within the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, and features works by more than 850 artisans from more than 100 counties across the state.

The Kentucky Artisan Center is located at 200 Artisan Way, just off Interstate 75 at Berea Exit 77. The center exhibits, shopping and travel information areas are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cafe is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
