Kentucky Lottery ‘Lucky for Life’ winner claims prize, asks to be anonymous, takes cash option

The Lucky For Life winner from the June 27th drawing has come forward. The Lexington man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his ticket online making him the largest Kentucky Lottery online winner by winning $25,000 a year for life.

The winning ticket matched all the white ball numbers but not the Lucky ball to win the game’s second prize.

He bought two sets of numbers for the Thursday drawing. On Sunday, when he sat down to read his email notifications from the Kentucky Lottery he had seen where he won $3 on one set of numbers. “I looked at the second notification, when I saw $500,000! I had to look at it a couple of times.”

“I’ve been patient, getting financial advice first before coming in. My heart rate has been steadily going down since realizing I’d won, he said.

The Lexington man has been playing online for three years and says he likes being able to buy his tickets without having to go to a store.

“I’m sitting in my comfy chair, in my comfy pants at home.”

He chose to take the cash option amount of $390,000, before taxes.
