Arizona, which leap-frogged UK in last week’s polls to take the No. 2 spot, is the new top team in the country. Michigan State fell to No. 5 on the heels of its first loss this season, a 79-65 home loss to North Carolina on Wednesday.

Baylor jumped to No. 14 a week after it placed No. 20 in the poll.

This week’s poll marks the first time this season Kentucky has fallen out of the top five, much less then top 10. The Wildcats opened the season at No. 1, and they dropped to their previous low of No. 4 following Nov. 12’s 78-74 loss to then-No. 2 Michigan State. The Spartans had been No. 1 since then, remaining undefeated until Wednesday’s loss.

Kansas also suffered its second loss of the season and fell victim to a similar drop in the polls. The Jayhawks are now No. 13 after coming in last week at No. 6.
