Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors contributes $50,000 to Team Kentucky Fund

The Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors Board of Directors have approved a $50,000 contribution to the Team Kentucky Fund, developed by Gov. Andy Beshear to deliver financial aid to those severely financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aid provided by the fund, according to both the Governor and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, will help cover mortgages, rent, utilities and other needs after they have had their lives turned upside down by this devastating crisis.

“Realtors are the fabric of every community and this donation reiterates how important it is to remain community-focused for all our citizens through this crisis,” LBAR President Greg Buchanan said. “This fund is a perfect outlet to get much-needed support to those who need assistance during these unprecedented times.”

“I’m extremely proud of our association for stepping up,” said Justin Landon, LBAR’s chief executive officer. “Realtors are some of the most civic-minded people you could ever be around and this is just one demonstration of that commitment.”

Kentucky’s Public Protection Cabinet oversees the Team Kentucky Fund. Employees under the leadership of Secretary Kerry Harvey have a proven track record of getting money to citizens in times of crisis. For more information on Team Kentucky Fund, go to ppc.ky.gov.
