Preshow
This year’s preshow theme is ‘Princess Vignettes’ and will feature young ballet dancers from studios across Central Kentucky performing a series of princess tales in different acts. Some familiar faces in the preshow performance will include Belle, Jasmine and Snow White, along with island and folklorico princesses.

Princess tea parties
To coincide with the preshow theme, children ages 3-8 are invited to a Princess Tea Party featuring fancy foods, party favors, face painting and a special live performance by a “real princess.” The kids are encouraged to don their finest tutus and tiaras for the magical, fun-filled event.

The tea parties will take place before from 6–7 p.m., before each Ballet Under the Stars performance Aug. 2–4. Ticket prices are $15 per child, with no charge for parents or guardians. The ticket cost also includes admission to Ballet Under the Stars.

To attend the tea party, children must be registered in advance at lexingtonky.gov.
