Murray State, Henderson Community College sign memorandum of agreement to continue partnership

Murray State University President Dr. Bob Jackson and Dr. Jason Warren, president and CEO of Henderson Community College (HCC), met with other representatives from each college last month to sign a new memorandum of agreement to be continued through June 30, 2021.

The MOU represents strengthened ties between the two institutions, outlining shared personnel and joint marketing efforts as the Murray State Henderson Regional Campus continues to provide degree programs for HCC students to seamlessly transfer into for their bachelor’s degree.

The university’s Henderson campus also offers master’s degree programs, offering students the ability to complete their associate degree at HCC, then earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree at Murray State.

As part of the agreement, the partner institutions will share both facilities and personnel and participate in joint promotional efforts.

“We greatly appreciate the excellent partnership with Dr. Jason Warren and the faculty and staff of the Henderson Community College as we work together to advance higher education initiatives in Henderson County and the surrounding region,” Jackson said.

“I appreciate the cooperative spirit and collegiality encouraged by Dr. Jackson,” Warren said. “HCC and Murray State University have a long-standing partnership. Our teams work very well together. The revised MOA we have signed builds on our existing relationship and further enhances it for the benefit of our local community.”
