NBA roundup: Cousins continues surge


Ten players with local ties took the court in NBA games Wednesday. You can see a rundown of their performances below:

 

Former UK center DeMarcus Cousins scored 21 points on 6-11 shooting and grabbed 19 rebounds in 39 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings

 

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo scored 24 points on 8-16 shooting and tallied seven assists in 38 minutes of action for the Boston Celtics.

 

Former UK center Josh Harrellson scored 13 points on 5-10 shooting and grabbed one rebound in 23 minutes of action for the New York Knicks.

 

Former UK point guard John Wall scored 11 points on 4-13 shooting and dished out eight assists in 39 minutes of action for the Washington Wizards.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored 10 points on 5-11 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in 22 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed scored four points on 2-2 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in 14 minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Lexington native Shelvin Mack scored two points but was 0-3 from the field and tallied two assists in nine minutes of action for the Wizards.

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored three points on 1-4 shooting and tallied one rebound in 16 minutes of action for the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was ruled ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored three points on 1-1 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in nine minutes of action for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former UK center Jamaal Magloire did not score and tallied one rebound in five minutes of action for the Toronto Raptors.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried did not play for the Denver Nuggets due to a coach’s decision.

 

Former UK center Daniel Orton did not play for the Orlando Magic due to a coach’s decision, and former UK guard DeAndre Liggins was inactive in the game.

 

Former UK point guard Eric Bledsoe was inactive for the Los Angeles Clippers as he continues to rehab from offseason surgery.

 

Former UK forward Chuck Hayes did not play for the Kings due to a dislocated shoulder.
