NBA roundup: Cousins helps Kings to upset


Six players with local ties took the court in NBA games Thursday. You can see a rundown of their performances below:

 

Former UK center DeMarcus Cousins scored 19 points on 7-17 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings.

 

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo scored 14 points on 7-13 shooting and tallied seven assists in 44 minutes of action for the Boston Celtics.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored 14 points on 6-8 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 25 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried made his second start for the Denver Nuggets. He scored eight points on 3-7 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds in 22 minutes of action.

 

Former UK forward Chuck Hayes scored eight points on 4-6 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 17 minutes of action for the Kings.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed did not score and grabbed one rebound in nine minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
