NBA roundup: Cousins, Knight score 17


Former UK center DeMarcus Cousins scored 17 points on 8-16 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds in 33 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings. The performance was Cousins’ 13th double-double of the season, second most in the NBA.

 

Former UK point guard Brandon Knight scored 17 points on 7-14 shooting and tallied five assists in 41 minutes of action for the Detroit Pistons.

 

Former UK point guard John Wall scored 12 points on 6-9 shooting, grabbed six rebounds and tallied four assists in 26 minutes of action for the Washington Wizards.

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored six points on 2-4 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds in 35 minutes of action for the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored five points on 2-4 shooting and grabbed three rebounds in 17 minutes of action for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried scored five points on 2-4 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 11 minutes of action for the Denver Nuggets.

 

Lexington native Shelvin Mack scored four points on 1-4 shooting and tallied four assists in 21 minutes of action for the Wizards.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored four points on 2-4 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 14 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed scored two points on 1-2 shooting and grabbed three rebounds in nine minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Former UK forward Tayshaun Prince did not play for the Detroit PIstons due to a family matter.

 

Former UK center Josh Harrellson was inactive for the New York Knicks with a broken wrist.

 

Former UK center Jamaal Magloire did not play for the Toronto Raptors due to a coach’s decision.

 

Former UK point guard Eric Bledsoe was inactive for the Los Angeles Clippers as he continues to rehab from offseason surgery.
