NBA roundup: Enes Kanter makes pro debut


With the 2011-12 NBA season underway, KyForward will be keeping you up to date with daily recaps of the performances of former University of Kentucky players and Kentucky natives. You can see the first NBA roundup below:

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, made his NBA debut for the Utah Jazz. Kanter scored five points, grabbed 11 rebounds and shot 1-7 from the field in 20 minutes of action.

 

Former UK forward DeMarcus Cousins scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 27 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings. Cousins was 7-18 from the field and blocked two shots.

 

Former UK forward Chuck Hayes scored four points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings. Hayes was 2-5 from the floor and picked up five fouls in 26 minutes of action.
