NBA roundup: Josh Harrellson shines in start


At least one NBA player with local ties dressed in every NBA game Saturday. Check out a roundup of their performances below:

 

Former UK center Josh Harrellson earned his first career start, scored 14 points on 5-11 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds in 38 minutes of action for the New York Knicks.

 

Former UK forward Tayshaun Prince scored 12 points on 5-13 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in 36 minutes of action for the Detroit Pistons.

 

Former UK point guard Brandon Knight scored six points on 3-8 shooting and dished out six assists in 23 minutes of action for the Pistons.

 

Former UK forward DeMarcus Cousins scored nine points on 2-10 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings.

 

Former UK forward Chuck Hayes scored five points on 2-6 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Kings.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored seven points on 2-3 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 13 minutes of action for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed scored nine points on 4-6 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in 24 minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored six points on 3-5 shooting and grabbed one rebound in 17 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored two points on 1-6 shooting in 19 minutes of acton for the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried did not play due to a coach’s decision for the Denver Nuggets.
