NBA roundup: Josh Harrellson injured


Eight players with local ties took the court in NBA games Saturday. You can see a roundup of their performances below:

 

Former UK center DeMarcus Cousins scored 19 points on 9-18 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds in 29 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings.

 

Former UK forward Tayshaun Prince scored 17 points on 6-14 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 38 minutes of action for the Detroit Pistons.

 

Former UK point guard Brandon Knight scored 14 points on 4-10 shooting and tallied three assists for the Pistons.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored 12 points on 6-7 shooting and grabbed five rebounds in 28 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored seven points on 3-6 shooting and tallied three steals in 27 minutes of action for the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Former UK center Josh Harrellson scored two points on 1-4 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 17 minutes of action for the New York Knicks before leaving with a broken wrist. Harrellson is expected to miss six weeks, Howard Beck of The New York Times reports.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored six points on 3-3 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes of action for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed did not score and grabbed one rebound in five minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried did not play for the Denver Nuggets due to a coach’s decision.
