NBA roundup: Meeks, Wall score 20-plus


It was a big night for former UK guards in the NBA. Check out their performances and a roundup of all the local NBA players’ Friday games below:

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored 21 points on 7-13 shooting and tallied two rebounds in 24 minutes of action for the Philadelphia 76ers.

 

Former UK point guard John Wall scored 22 points on 10-22 shooting, dished out nine assists and grabbed five rebounds in 42 minutes of action for the Washington Wizards.

 

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo scored 11 points on 5-12 shooting, dished out nine assists and grabbed five rebounds in 39 minutes of action for the Boston Celtics.

 

Making his first career start, former UK point guard Brandon Knight scored 10 points on 5-15 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out four assists in 37 minutes of action for the Detroit Pistons.

 

Former UK forward Tayshaun Prince scored eight points on 4-13 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists in 34 minutes for the Pistons.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored 10 points on 5-8 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 20 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK center Josh Harrellson scored two points on 1-2 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in just less than 19 minutes of action for the New York Knicks.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored two points on 1-1 shooting and grabbed three rebounds in nine minutes for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed scored four points on 2-6 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 23 minutes of action for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Former UK center Jamaal Magloire did not score or attempt a shot but did grab two rebounds in just less than nine minutes of action for the Toronto Blue Jays.

 

Lexington native Shelvin Mack played less than one minute and did not record any statistics for the Wizards.

 

Former UK center Daniel Orton did not play for the Orlando Magic due to a coach’s decision. Former UK guard DeAndre Liggins was inactive for the Magic.

 

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried did not play for the Denver Nuggets due to a coach’s decision.
