NBA roundup: Prince, Knight star for Pistons


Eight players with local ties took the court in NBA games Wednesday. You can see a rundown of their performance below:

 

Former UK forward Tayshaun Prince scored 21 points on 9-15 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 39 minutes of action for the Detroit Pistons.

 

Former UK point guard Brandon Knight scored 15 points on 7-18 shooting, grabbed five rebounds and tallied four assists in 43 minutes of action for the Pistons.

 

Lexington native Shelvin Mack scored 12 points on 5-11 shooting and tallied four assists in 16 minutes of action for the Washington Wizards.

 

Former UK forward Patrick Patterson scored 10 points on 5-10 shooting and grabbed three rebounds in 23 minutes of action for the Houston Rockets.

 

Former UK guard Keith Bogans scored two points on 1-5 shooting in 17 minutes in his season debut for the New Jersey Nets.

 

Former UK point guard John Wall scored a career-low two points on 1-12 shooting but did tally 10 assists and seven rebounds in 31 minutes of action for the Wizards.

 

Former UK guard Jodie Meeks scored three points on 1-5 shooting in 14 minutes of action for the Phildaelphia 76ers.

 

Former UK student Enes Kanter, who was declared ineligible to play basketball at UK by the NCAA, scored six points on 2-3 shooting and grabbed two rebounds in 12 minutes of action for the Utah Jazz.

 

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo missed his eight consecutive game for the Boston Celtics with a wrist injury.

 

Former UK center Nazr Mohammed did not play for the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a coach’s decision.

 

Former UK point guard Eric Bledsoe was inactive for the Los Angeles Clippers.

 

Former UK center Daniel Orton and guard DeAndre Liggins did not play for the Orlando Magic due to a coach’s decision.

 

Former UK center Jamaal Magloire did not play for the Toronto Raptors due to a coach’s decision.
