NBA roundup: Rondo posts triple-double

The big Kentucky NBA news from Sunday were the multiple reports that former UK forward DeMarcus Cousins had demanded a trade and the subsequent denial from Cousins’s agent. Still several players with local ties were on the court for NBA teams Sunday. You can see a rundown of their performances below:

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo posted a triple-double with 18 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in 33 minutes of action for the Boston Celtics. Rondo was 7-10 from the field and 4-7 from the free-throw line.

Playing against Rondo, former UK point guard John Wall just missed a triple-double of his own with 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Wall was 6-13 from the field and 7-9 from the free-throw line.

Lexington native Shelvin Mack did not record any statistics in just less than two minutes of playing time for Washington.

Former UK forward Chuck Hayes scored six points on 3-9 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of action for the Sacramento Kings.

Cousins did not make the trip with the Kings.

Former UK center Jamaal Magloire scored seven points on 3-3 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in 17 minutes of action for the Toronto Raptors.

Former UK guard DeAndre Liggins and center Daniel Orton were inactive for the Orlando Magic.

Former UK point guard Eric Bledsoe did not play for the Los Angeles Clippers as he continues to rehab from a torn right lateral meniscus.

Former Morehead center Kenneth Faried did not play for the Denver Nuggets due to a coach’s decision.
